Guatemala 2025

Join our roof-digging Guatemala mission team as they travel to Guatemala in 2025 to tackle the needs of impoverished people through construction projects to improve living conditions for families, as well as educational and nurturing activities with children and the elderly. The estimated cost is $1,700 per person; the suggested age is 15 or older, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. An Interest & Team Meeting will be held Feb. 11th at 6:30pm in Room 101.

As a Roof-Digging Church, we strive to make the love of Jesus accessible to all who are in our church, in our community and in our greater world.  We do this by offering radical hospitality to those who come on campus, by leading inside the church, by loving our neighbors and
by serving those in need.

Dig with us

Find ways to serve with community partners.

  • As part of our 2023 Christmas offering, Woodlake set a goal to raise $8,000 to build a home for an impoverished family in Guatemala in partnership with Porch de Salomon. After reaching our goal, thirteen Woodlake UMC members travelled to Panajachel, Guatemala on April 6 and made our mission a reality. We would not have been able to complete this project without the kind support of Woodlake UMC members like you! Thank you!

  • Our biggest serve week of the year. We always have fun helping our local elementary schools, UMFS, and Belmont food pantry.  We strive to being the best neighbors they have.

See our work from this year!
